Terms of service

The service

IthacaDrone is a membership library of aerial footage of Ithaca and Tompkins County, NY, licensed to businesses for their own marketing. Watermarked previews are free to browse; full-resolution masters are available to active members under the license tier they've purchased. We also offer one-time Drone Service Bookings — paid photo and video shoots for a specific property or project, booked separately from membership. See Drone service bookings below.

Your account

• Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One membership covers one named business, as described in the License Agreement. It isn't transferable and doesn't cover clients or affiliates.
• We may suspend accounts that share download links, resell footage, or otherwise breach the License Agreement.

Billing

• Memberships bill monthly through Stripe until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the member library ("Manage billing") — cancellation stops future charges and your access continues to the end of the paid period.
• If your membership started at a limited-time launch rate, that rate stays locked in for as long as your membership remains continuously active.
• Prices for new subscriptions may change; we'll never change what an existing member pays without notice.

Drone service bookings

Roofing and solar inspection photos, construction progress documentation, and real estate aerials are booked and paid for separately from membership — see Services for current offerings and pricing.

• Payment is due in full when you book. We don't invoice or bill these in installments.
• We fly Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Booking a date is a request; we confirm it by email, typically within one business day. If your date isn't available, we'll offer the next one that is.
• Flights are subject to weather, FAA airspace restrictions, and property access. We reschedule a weather day at no extra charge. For any other rescheduling or cancellation, contact us as soon as possible — we handle these case by case.
• You're responsible for making sure we have permission to fly and photograph the property, unless it's a public space, and you agree to cover any claim arising from access information you gave us being wrong.
• Once delivered, you can use the photos and video for the property or business the shoot was booked for — listings, marketing, permits, insurance, and similar purposes. IthacaDrone retains ownership of the underlying files.
• These are aerial photos and video only. They aren't a licensed home inspection, structural or engineering assessment, or an electrical or solar system certification, and shouldn't be relied on as one — for that, engage a licensed inspector or engineer.

When a membership ends

Your license to download ends with your membership. As set out in the License Agreement, anything you published while a member stays licensed in those finished projects — no takedowns. After cancellation you can't download new files or use the footage in new projects.

Footage and takedowns

All footage is captured under FAA Part 107 rules. If you believe any clip raises a privacy or property concern, email us and we'll review it promptly.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided as-is. We work to keep the library available and the footage accurate to its descriptions, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a membership is limited to the membership fees you paid in the three months before the claim arose; our total liability for any claim arising from a Drone Service Booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Tompkins County, NY.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll update the effective date above and notify active members by email.
