Effective October 5, 2026
Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what we need to quote and deliver your drone work and footage: your contact details, what you tell us about your site, your purchases, and basic site analytics. We don't sell your information to anyone.
What we collect
- Account details. When you create an account: your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash — we can't see it).
- Quote requests. What you send through the quote form: your name, company, email, phone, the site's location and size, your timeline and any notes.
- Your projects. The reports, imagery and site maps we produce for you, stored in your account.
- Purchases. Which clips you've licensed, linked to the email you paid with, and for anyone still on an older membership, which plan it is and whether it's active.
- Payment information — handled by Stripe. Card numbers and billing details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor. They never touch our servers and we never see them.
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This uses cookies.
- Technical logs. Our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare-based) records standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
- To reply to your quote request and plan, fly and deliver the job.
- To operate your account and deliver your reports and licensed files.
- To process payments through Stripe.
- To respond when you contact us for support.
- To understand site usage and improve the site.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't share it with third parties beyond the services that run the site for us (Stripe for payments, our email provider for messages about your account and orders, Google Analytics, and our hosting providers), each of which processes it under its own privacy terms.
- We don't send marketing email you didn't sign up for.
Cookies
We use cookies for two things: keeping you signed in, and Google Analytics. Blocking analytics cookies in your browser won't affect your account.
Data retention and your rights
We keep account, project and purchase records while your account exists. Email support@ithacadrone.com to request a copy of the information we hold about you, or to have your account and data deleted. Billing records may be retained where required for tax and accounting purposes.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above and note the change on this page.
